Fulham will listen to offers for Carlos Vinicius this summer as the striker enters the final year of his contract, according to the Evening Standar.

The Brazilian striker joined Galatasaray on loan in January and has scored twice in eleven games in Turkey. The 29 year-old, who moved to Craven Cottage from Benfica for £5m in 2002, famously opened his Fulham account in the Whites’ first SW6 derby win for seventeen years in January 2023 but struggled for game time this term even after the departure of Aleksandar Mitrovic.

Vinicius scored a vital winner over Luton Town in September and rounded off the December rout of West Ham United but his prospects of playing first-team football at Fulham next season has diminished with the remarkable emergence of compatriot Rodrigo Muniz, who won the Premier League’s player of the month award for March. The former Tottenham forward is also unlikely to usurp Raul Jimenez in Marco Silva’s pecking order – and there is a plausible promotion to the first-team squad for Jay Stansfield, who has scored twelve goals on loan at Birmingham City.

There is significant interest in Vinicius across the continent as well as in the Premier League. Wolves, who looked at signing him from Benfica themselves two years ago, were interested in buying the 6ft 3in striker in January – and could still be keen on doing a deal during the close season given Gary O’Neil’s disenchantment at his lack of experienced forwards.
