On-loan Fulham forwards Jay Stansfield and Martial Godo have earned England age-group calls in the squads announced this morning.

Stansfield, who has scored 10 goals in 38 games at Birmingham City this season, has been named in Lee Carsley’s under-21 squad for the European Championship qualifying games against Azerbaijan and Luxembourg next week. England’s under 21s travel to Baku to face Azerbaijan at 12pm on Friday 22 March before facing Luxembourg at Bolton on Tuesday 26 March.

Godo, a hit during his loan spell at Wigan Athletic in League One, has been included in Ben Futcher’s Elite League squad for an away double-header against Poland and Czechia. The former Margate winger, who has scored three goals and added four assists in 29 appearances this term for the Latics, has two under-20 caps to his name and could feature in Poland next Friday or against the Czechs on Tuesday 26 March.
