Luke Harris says he’s ‘loving life’ on loan at League One Exeter City and is pleased to have finally scored his first professional goal earlier this week.
The talented Welsh midfielder, who has featured for Fulham’s first team under Marco Silva before being handed more first team football when he moved to St. James’ Park in January, scored the Grecians’ second goal in a 3-0 win over Shrewsbury Town in an impressive win for Gary Caldwell’s side.
Harris told Devon Live afterwards:
“We are buzzing to get the three points really. “It was a good first half performance, sometimes can be harder against ten men, and we did well to get the first goal and then got a few more. We kept the ball, got the crosses in and then goal came. We had to keep going, and got the three points, and that is the most important thing.
The goal has finally come and I am buzzing. I should have scored the first when Jack cut it back but I got the goal. I’d like to think floodgates will open, I will stay confident., and hope they will keep going in. I am loving it here, just love it. The last few games we have played well in all three but haven’t got the points. Today we showed what we can do and hopefully go on a run to the end of the season.”
