Fulham won their opening match of the Dallas Cup by beating Costa Rican outfit Alajuelense 2-0 yesterday afternoon in Texas.
Welsh youth international Callum Osmand opened the scoring with a powerful header on the hour mark that went in via the post. The in-form Osmand turned provider for Fulham’s crucial second, leading a rapid counter-attack following an Alajuelense corner and finding Lemar Gordon, who finished impeccably to make sure of all three points for the Cottagers.
The Whites are next in action on Monday night against hosts FC Dallas.
