Fulham have suggested that they may scale back their dialogue with the Fulham Supporters’ Trust, suggesting that they will favour further dialogue with the soon-to-be-established Fan Advisory Board (FAB).

The development is detailed in the notes from the Trust’s latest meeting with Fulham Football Club, where chief executive Alistair Mackintosh queried the methodology of what he felt was a ‘flawed’ Trust survey that revealed only 6 per cent of fans felt Fulham had adequately responded to concerns about ticket prices. Mackintosh also suggested that the Trust had not fully appreciated the scale of investment made by chairman Shahid Khan to keep Fulham competitive.

A reduction in the frequency of meeting between club officials and representatives of the Trust, the democratically elected voice of Fulham fans, would contravene a memorandum of understanding signed by the parties in December 2017, which committed the club to a monthly meeting. The club’s fan advisory board, developed following instructions from the Premier League, will be handpicked by Fulham officials following an application process advertised on Fulham’s official website.
