Marco Silva hailed matchwinner Rodrigo Muniz’s superb display against Bournemouth this afternoon as the striker’s “best performance in a Fulham shirt”.
The Brazilian striker played a part in Bobby De Cordova-Reid’s opener before bagging a brace only seven days after breaking his Premier League duck at Burnley.
A delighted Silva told his post-match press conference:
“I’m really pleased for him and he really deserves it. When you have the chance, you have to step in and pop up and show your quality and it was the moment for Rodrigo to do it. This afternoon was probably his best performance in a Fulham shirt and he deserves it because he’s worked really hard.
He had a good pre-season followed by a bad injury, but now he’s coming back and he’s fighting for what he wants and he’s showing the desire to play as the Fulham striker. The way he linked our game and played behind the pressure of the midfielders was really good.”
I am so happy for Muniz he has had a difficult time at FFC in terms of getting playing time but i saw the ability and he always give you his all. Fans seem to forget he is only 22yrs i think they are fooled by his size he has my best wishes and hope he serves FFC well COYW.
Thanks to Muniz we just about got the points but once again we sat back on our 2-0 lead and let them back into the game as the stat’s showed, they had 25 shots to our 7 and they had 14 corners to our 1 and 50-50 possession , we have a habit of not coming out focussed in the second half of our games which is costing us points we really need to stop doing this.
