Fulham forward Rodrigo Muniz has been nominated for the Premier League’s player of the month award after an outstanding February.

The Brazilian striker broke his Premier League duck with a lovely lofted finish in Fulham’s 2-2 draw at Burnley having been preferred to deadline day signing Armando Broja before bagging a brace against Bournemouth a week later. He prodded home a poacher’s finish to get the Whites back into the contest against Aston Villa at Craven Cottage to make it four goals in five games.

Muniz was outstanding at Old Trafford was unfortunate not to add to his account as Marco Silva’s side beat Manchester United last Saturday and the former Flamengo centre-forward’s outstanding performances have earned him a spot on the award shortlist alongside Phil Foden, João Gomes, Pascal Gross, Rasmus Højlund, Bukayo Saka and Ollie Watkins.
