Fulham have joined the race to sign Werder Bremen goalkeeper Michael Zetterer, according to reports from Italy.

Calciomercato claim that the Whites are interested in signing the 28 year-old German custodian, who has kept four clean sheets after being introduced in the Werder side halfway through the current campaign. Zetterer has conceded seventeen goals in fourteen games and Italian reports claim that Serie A side Roma, who have been scouting the goalkeeper throughout this season, will face competition from Marco Silva’s side for his signature.

Zetterer, who has eighteen months to run on his current contract with the Bundesliga outfit, is said to be valued at around £5m. The report claims that the goalkeeper has also caught the eye of Stade Rennais and Galatasaray. Fulham will need to decide whether to activate a year’s option on current second choice custodian Marek Rodak, who is currently the understudy to Bernd Leno at Craven Cottage, whilst they weigh up a possible move for Zetterer.
