Marco Silva says talks between Fulham, Tosin Adarabioyo and his representatives are ongoing as the club attempt to keep the defender at Craven Cottage beyond the summer.

The 26 year-old was close to leaving SW6 during the previous transfer window and has rejected Fulham’s past offers of a contract extension with the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Monaco, Napoli, AC Milan, Inter Milan and Napoli all interested in his services. The ball playing centre back’s agent – his brother Gbolahan – was forced to deny reports from Italy that he had informed Fulham he wasn’t willing to extend his contract earlier this week and Silva confirmed that during his press conference earlier this afternoon.

“[We are having] deep conversations with the club, with his agent, but no news right now. Let’s see what is going to happen in the future.”

Silva reiterated his earlier comments that it was likely to be a quiet transfer window due to Fulham’s financial position but revealed that the club were targeting a couple of positions rather than simply looking for striking reinforcements.

“I don’t want to put just the focus on the striker. We have at least two positions that were a target for us to reinforce our squad. Until now is not possible because of the reasons I already spoke about. Let’s see. If you ask me if I expect many moves until the end of the market. No.”
