Fulham have rejected loan interest in striker Carlos Vinicius and told the Brazilian’s suitors that they will only countenance his departure if they submit permanent offers of at least £9m.

Atlético Mineiro and Augsburg tabled loan approaches earlier this afternoon with the former Benfica centre forward himself keen on a loan move away from Craven Cottage until the summer having fallen out of favour with head coach Marco Silva earlier this season. The 28 year-old is also on the shortlist of Bayer Leverkusen, Sevilla and Valencia in La Liga and Sao Paulo in his homeland and fears that Fulham’s asking price will scupper his chances of moving on during this window.

Vinicius, who has scored eight goals in 48 games for Fulham, has slipped behind compatriot Rodrigo Muniz with his compatriot available for selection after he suffered a knee problem. Silva is set to keep hold of Muniz and try to sell Vinicius as he seeks to bring in another striker with Chelsea’s Armando Broja his number one choice at present.
