Bayern Munich are mulling over a potential move for Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo, according to reports in the German press this morning.

The Bavarian giants had been heavily linked with a return for Portuguese international Joao Palhinha this month after coming close to signing the former Sporting Lisbon schemer last summer. But Bayern have reportedly switched targets and sent scouts to watch Adarabioyo, who has impressed on his return to Marco Silva’s starting line-up following groin surgery, during Fulham’s 3-0 defeat at AFC Bournemouth on Boxing Day.

Thomas Tuchel has identified a new centre back as his transfer priority in January although Bayern will face competition from a number of clubs who hold an interest in the 26 year-old. Napoli have been heavily linked with Adarabioyo in the past week, whilst the ball-playing centre half was reportedly close to joining AS Monaco and Tottenham Hotspur during the summer transfer window. He is out of contract at the end of the season and can open discussions with foreign clubs about a pre-contract agreement this month.
