Sasha Adamson scored twice as Fulham FC Women won 3-2 at Ebbsfleet United this afternoon to move top of the London and South East Regional Premier Division.

The former Hashtag United winger gave the Whites the lead as early as the third minute by finishing off a fine break from the Fulham penalty area. A brilliant ball from Georgia Heasman set Adamson away and she slotted serenely past Courtney Roberts. Heasman doubled the lead on the half hour mark when Heasman produced a fine finish at the far post after being found by a fine cross from Ella Tagliavini.

But the hosts hit back almost immediately when Logan O’Shea punished a poor defensive lapse by lunging in to touch the ball beyond Libby Stratton. That gave the Fleet a huge short in the arm and they could easily have headed in a half time level as Amelia Woodgate lashed inches wide.

The visitors started on the front foot after the interval with Tagliavini rifling narrowly off target, whilst Dan Carlton’s audacious attempt to chip Libby Stratton from distance was claimed by the retreating Fulham goalkeeper. Adamson added her second of the afternoon four minutes later with a special strike from fully twenty yards out before Becky Stormer had a header disallowed for offside.

Ebbsfleet kept pushing for a route back into the match, but Amelia Woodgate’s assured finish in the final minute of normal time came too late to rescue a point. Steve Jaye’s side moved two points clear of Dartford at the top of the table, but the Darts have three games in hand.
