Fulham captain Tom Cairney discussed the controversial penalty incidents during Monday night’s win over Wolverhampton Wanderers during another stint on the Soccer Special panel last night.
Cairney insisted that he had felt contact from Nelson Semedo before going down for Fulham’s first penalty of the evening and felt that the match-winning stoppage-time spot-kick, awarded after Joao Gomes had caught substitute Harry Wilson in the area, was a penalty but feels that the process undertaken by the video assistant referee has to give more information to match-going fans.
