Fulham are in negotiations with VFB Stuttgart regarding a January deal for their in-form forward Serhou Guirassy in January, according to reports from Germany.
The Guinea international has scored 28 goals in 36 appearances for the Swabians since moving to the MHPArena from Rennes, initially on loan in September 2022. The 27 year-old target man featured on Fulham’s shortlist for striking reinforcements over the summer but the Whites decided against supplementing their attack beyond the signing of Raul Jimenez – even after Aleksandar Mitrovic forced through his move to Saudi Arabia.
The 27 year-old, who has scored twice at international level in seven senior caps for Guinea, will be available for £17m in the new year as a result of a clause in his current contract with the Reds. According to Bild, Stuttgart have sought to remove that release clause by increasing Guirassy’s salary but that the striker has rejected offers of a new deal. Fulham will face competition from Nottingham Forest as well as a number of leading continental clubs for the 6ft 1in forward’s signature.
Guirassy hit a hat-trick in Stuttgart’s 3-1 win over Wolfsburg and was watched by a number of scouts, including representatives from the Whites.
