Former Fulham forward Dimitar Berbatov has warned the Whites that they need avoid making silly mistakes following the defeat at Tottenham on Monday night.
In his preview of the weekend’s action for today’s edition of the Metro, the Bulgarian striker – who scored twenty goals in 54 games at Craven Cottage between 2012 and 2014 – tipped Brighton to beat Marco Silva’s side on Sunday and was disappointed by the concession of two sloppy goals at another of his former teams in their defeat at Spurs.
“[This is] Fulham’s second away game in a row, although they’re playing good football. But Fulham need to learn how to not make silly mistakes.
Do you see what I mean when I say mistakes? In the last game against Spurs, they tried to play out from the back. They make mistakes because they didn’t know how to get the ball out and Spurs were more experienced and took advantage of their mistakes. Thank you very much – two goals, three points.
They need to correct this type of stuff. I like that they are trying to play this way, and will continue to try to play from the back, but be smarter. So, in this game honestly, I don’t see them winning.”
Why do we have Munez in the squad if you are not going to give him a 90 minute chance. The other two centre men cant score.
