Joao Palhinha’s move to Bayern Munich has only been ‘postponed’ rather than cancelled, according to the Fulham midfielder’s brother and agent.
The Portuguese international saw his big money move to the German giants fall through on Friday afternoon after the Whites failed to find a replacement before the closure of the German transfer window. He did not feature in Fulham’s 5-1 defeat at Manchester City yesterday having arrived back in the United Kingdom very late on Friday night.
Palhinha’s brother, Goncalo, who has been his agent since April, wrote on Instagram: “They didn’t kill the dream, they just postponed it. Very proud of my brother and the player I represent. Words of appreciation, recognition and thanks to the entire Bayern structure. The affection for the club in our family will remain forever even though my brother didn’t sign.
Hope TK starts looking for a replacement asap…. but…
Palhinha needs to tell his brother to keep his mouth shut. Last time I looked he had nothing to do with FFC management or ownership, and these are the people who will decide who moves where and when.
As far as Tuchel goes he can be as upset as he wants, coming in on the last day was his idea not ours. I am seriously p^^^^^ off with this transfer window. Hurrah for the day when the oil runs out and that lot return to donkeys and sand.
Wtf? Is this how a player under contract speaks through his agent? Pahlinha is a very important player for Fulham but no one is bigger than the club. I hope his brother realises this and treats us Fulham supporters with respect. I really do hope that the Fulham hierarchy makes this amply clear to Pahlinha and his entourage. Unbelievable
