Young Fulham winger Martial Godo has joined League One Wigan Athletic on loan for the rest of the season.
The former Margate wide man has been in sensational form for Fulham’s under-21 side this season, scoring six goals in four games – including in the 3-3 draw against Portsmouth in the Football League Trophy earlier this month. The 20 year-old told the Latics’ official website tonight:
“I’m very overwhelmed and excited to get started. It’s something that has happened last minute, but I’m just ready to get going. I’m prepared to work hard and help the team as much as I can. Wigan has a beautiful stadium, and the calibre of the club (made me want to join). It’s a historical club, and I put my trust in the Gaffer here to help me keep growing as a young player and a professional on and off the pitch.”
