Carlos Vinicius will remain with Fulham despite interest from Turkish side Trabzonspor in taking the Brazilian striker away from Craven Cottage, according to the Evening Standard.

The former Spurs striker has not featured at all for Marco Silva’s side this season and reports from Turkey suggested that Trabzonspor were close to concluding a loan deal for Vinicius, who memorably headed the winner in Fulham’s first SW6 derby win for seventeen years back in January.

The Turkish transfer window does not close until September 15 but Fulham are not willing to let Vinicius leave after failing to add another striker to their squad following Aleksandar Mitrovic’s departure for Saudi Arabia last month. Vinicius scored five goals in 30 appearances for Fulham last season – finishing the campaign impressively after the Serbian striker was banned for eight games – but has fallen behind new signing Raul Jimenez in the Fulham pecking order.
