Fulham believe they have completed a deal to take AC Milan full back Fode Ballo-Toure on loan, according to various reports this evening.

The Whites have resurrected their interest in the Senegalese international late on transfer deadline day and submitted a deal sheet to the Premier League just after the 11pm deadline – giving them an extra hour to complete the necessary paperwork. Ballo-Toure was a target for the Londoners earlier in the summer but appeared to turn down a permanent move to Craven Cottage – only for the Evening Standard to suggest that a loan move to Marco Silva’s side seems imminent.

Fulham have been seeking cover for Antonee Robinson throughout the summer – and Italian outlets also claimed that sources have told him that both the Premier League outfit and AC Milan are expecting the season-long loan will be ratified by the Premier League. The 26 year-old had been expected to join Bundesliga side Werder Bremen but that deal was not concluded by the same 5pm deadline that scuppered Bayern Muncih’s move for Joao Palhinha.
