Jay Stansfield has signed a new four-year contract with Fulham and joined Championship club Birmingham City on a season-long loan deal.

The 20 year-old, who spent last season back Exeter City, told Fulham’s official website of his delight at securing his long-term future with the Whites:

“I’m buzzing. I love it here, it really feels like home and I can’t wait to be able to come back next season a better player and hopefully play in front of everyone at Craven Cottage. It’s such an amazing club and I can see myself hopefully scoring many goals here.”

Stansfield views his loan to the unbeaten Blues as the perfect way to continue his impressive development. He scored his first senior goal at St. Andrew’s when handed his first senior start in the League Cup by Marco Silva back in August 2022.

“I think it’s key for me to take the next step in my career and continue to work hard and learn along the way.”
