The talented and down-to-earth de Fougerolles was born in Battersea to a Canadian father, through whom he qualifies for the country whom he has opted to represented at international level. He started his football career with local club BHFC Battersea before joining the Fulham academy aged eight. de Fougerolles progressed through the Motspur Park age groups before starring after breaking into the under-18 side. Originally a right back, he is now adept on the opposite side or the back or in central defence, where he shone on the 2023 summer tour to the United States having caught the eye of Marco Silva in training. He made his Fulham debut in the 3-1 League Cup victory at Ipswich Town in November – and was voted man of the match.
