Fulham forward Raúl Jiménez has been recalled to the Mexico squad by new manager Jaime Lozano for their friendlies in America against Australia and Uzbekistan next month.

The 32 year-old, who has started all three of the Whites’ Premier League fixtures this season, was left out of the squad for the Gold Cup by Diego Cocca. Jiménez, who joined Fulham from Wolves in a £5.5m deal last month, is the seventh leading goalscorer in Mexican history, having hit 30 goals in a century of senior international appearances.

Lozano’s side will play the Socceroos in Dallas on September 9 before facing Uzbekistan in Atlanta three days later.
