Is Fulham’s new shirt actually away day apparel or rave wear for the afterparty?
The club’s press release describes it ‘all shock pink’ and, if it is designed to capitalise on the hype around the new Barbie moving starring Fulham fan Maggie Robbie, then Harry Wilson’s bleached locks begin to make much more sense.
Wilson looks pretty in pink in the photoshoot, with a tense looking Ken(nny Tete) and Joao Palhinha, who cracks half a smile by the pool. Fulham say that the away shirt ‘builds on the popularity of Fulham’s training wear from recent seasons’ and comes in a dedicated women’s fit for the first time in recent seasons.
The strip is certainly shocking and won’t be for everyone – but I like everything about it apart from the £80 I’ll need to splash out to wear one to Goodison Park.
