Fulham are interested in signing the Juventus forward Moise Kean, who has been left out of their squad ahead of their Serie A opener against Udinese tonight.
The Bianconeri insist that the Italian international has not travelled to Udine because of a bruised tibia but reports in Italy claim that he has been transfer-listed and has already been the subject of enquiries from Sevilla and Fulham. The Spanish press suggest that Sevilla are eager to take the 23 year-old on loan with an option to buy, but Juve are keen on a sale with Calciomercato claiming that the Cottagers are interested in making the former Everton forward one of their late summer signings.
Kean, who has scored fourteen times in 82 appearances during his second spell with Juventus, hit just four goals in 39 games spread over three years at Goodison Park. He was far from prolific joining a loan spell at Paris Saint-Germain, where he scored seventeen goals in 41 games, and is keen to find first-team football. The talented forward, who burst to prominence after breaking into the Juve side aged just sixteen, has scored four goals in twelve appearances for the Azzuri at senior level.
The mere suggestion that we are going in for this guy says all that you need to know unfortunately.
I would have thought that Marco had earned the right to pick his own players.
I think there is a disconnect between Marco and the hierarchy(especially the wrestling and software supremo) over the signing of players based on stats.
It seems the DNA of the hierarchy at the minute is to prepare for relegation instead of cementing our position in the premier league.
Do we need a new DOF? Absolutely! Is this current situation avoidable? Absolutely: But with joined up thinking.
It’s time Daddy’s little boy stepped down and moved out to concentrate on his wrestling thing which is more his business as you don’t need a brain for that.
As mentioned in the Chairman’s message of this weekend, the DNA of the huerarchy seems to be in the process of looking for “smart options” , are these football options , I personally doubt it ! [erhaps these are pure business/financial options … in which case another patachute payment would make sens to the hierarchy …
Yoyo options will perhaps help pay for the loss due to delayed opening of the Riverside? i personally see Marco closing shop on us and keave to Potter or anotther manager to steer us back in the Champinoship
sorry to be so pessinistic so early in the season …I had no options !
T.K. You have known for 6 weeks that Mitro was going to leave or have no commitment to us. What have you put in place. NOTHING. All the genuine Premier League teams have busied themselves enhancing their squads while we have just buried our heads in the Saudi sand while our squad has been denuded.
Now it’s a last minute panic to see what leftovers we can get for free or cut price.
I feel so sorry for Marco as I can only see this season going
one way and he deserves better.
TK Prove me wrong. Show some action not apathy.
MITRO THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES
.
Wasn’t this the guy who was utterly useless at Everton?
Yes it was….
4 goals in 39 appearances… Perfect Mitro replacement… Holy baby jeezus. We need a 5 star striker. NOW
I cant understand why we bring in Bassey and Adama but let a couple stiffs play instead of these guys. They are decent players. I just don’t get why guys that should be subs are playing most the game. I have no issues with Jimenez if they add another striker with at least equal talent to him. But they have cash to play with and they should add at least two talented players before 9/1.
Ha Ha Ha.If this is the striker who will replace mitro,we are done !!!!!!!!!!!
So many rumours difficult to know what is true or false,. However if this one is alive we would signing a player who have proved he CANNOT play in the Premier league
i honestly hope not
being at the game saturday we were toothless with out the big baby and willian ,
the 50 million has to be spent on a striker only otherwise its going to be a long season for us
Problem is yet again leaving it late not many decent strikers are available now
With Arsenal and Man City away as our next two PL fixtures, we might be best not having a striker anyway … just park the bus and hope for a point
Another huge ‘miss out on’? Step forward James Ward-Prowse …… it was crystal clear he’d fit the middle of our team….but, no, we sit idly by and watch him go elsewhere to a rival.
Did anybody pick up the word ‘smart’ in Shahid K’s notes regarding buying more players? Its context made me shudder. I’m worried he fails to understand the beautiful game!
What about Lukaku. He’s been there and done it. Chelsea don’t want him. Scored 14 goals in Italy and 7 for Belgium last season. Has converted his last 24 penalties. Still only 30 years old. Juventus want him but are not in a position to buy. Maybe worth a try!
Kean is undoubtedly a huge talent, but has the same aptitude of his connational, a certain Balotelli. If Silva could be able to take out the best of him, Kean would be a great capture, but it is a huge gamble
