Fulham have joined the race to sign Union Berlin full back Josip Juranovic, according to reports from Germany.
The Croatian international is looking for alternative options to ply his trade in the closing days of the summer transfer window after he was replaced by the experienced Christopher Trimmel as Union thrashed Mainz 4-1 on Sunday. The 28 year-old right back is reportedly happy in Berlin and German football paper Kicker considers a departure unlikely but Fulham are said to be one of a number of Premier League clubs interested in signing the former Celtic right back.
Juranovic, who has made nineteen appearances for Union since signing from Celtic for £7.5m in 2022, has won 31 senior caps for Croatia and was part of the side that finished third in both the World Cup and the UEFA Nations League. He has won the Ekstraklasa with Legia Warsaw, a league and Cup double at Celtic and helped Union qualify for the Champions’ League last year. It remains to be seen whether the Whites, who are looking for competition to Kenny Tete at right back, will be able to lure the Zagreb-born defender to Craven Cottage.
This guy could not even make it at Celtic! If anyone from the club is reading this: Guys try and recruit a best in practice Director of Football-if you want League 1 football within 3 years then by all means stick with Tony Khan. If you however would like to choose the progressive option, then by all means do your due diligence and consider the former.
Just when things couldn’t get any worse you hit us with this, championship here we come.
Agree with Dan and John B Tony Khan (The Boy) is untouchable he is bulletproof all the time He is in the position of D of F the club will go nowhere so we as supporters can’t change that I am preparing myself for the sale of Palinha and maybe Perreira because that’s all he sees money and says look Dad see how much money I am making you he has got to be accountable for his actions to do with transfers but he won’t if you think he will spend the £50 million we got on players I hope so just to prove us wrong but don’t hold your breath
Agree totally with Keith. Can also add how much he is making from cutting the wage bill.
Also the parachute payment he will get in 9 months.
I am distraught, I thought we were joining the big boys
