Swansea City goalkeeper Steven Benda is undergoing a medical ahead of a proposed £1m move to Fulham this afternoon, according to the Daily Mail.

The infamous Motspur Park examination is crucial in the German custodian’s case as he has had knee surgery after injuring himself at Queens Park Rangers in January. The 24 year-old had made 23 appearances, keeping five clean sheets, having become the Swans number one after an impressive loan spell at Swindon Town, where he kept nine clean sheets in 27 games as the Robins won League Two.

Swansea have opted to cash in on Benda having failed to convince the Stuttgart-born goalkeeper to extend his stay at the Liberty Stadium. He has spent six years with the Swans, making 31 first-team appearances in total, having also gained Championship experience on loan at Peterborough United in the second half of the 2021/22 campaign. He played eleven games as the Posh failed to stay in the second tier but was outstanding in their 2-1 defeat at Craven Cottage in February 2022.
