German giants Bayern Munich are tracking Fulham full back Kenny Tete as a possible replacement for Benjamin Pavard, according to the Sun this afternoon.

Pavard is poised to move to Inter Milan and Bayern are interested in reuniting the Dutch international, who was outstanding as Marco Silva’s side finished tenth on their return to the top flight, with his former Ajax team-mate Mathijs de Ligt. The Bundesliga champions dispatched scouts to Craven Cottage last season to watch a number of Fulham players – although reports from Germany earlier this week disclosed how they had abandoned plans to enquire as to the availability of German international Bernd Leno because he would prove unaffordable.

Fulham have began discussions with Tete about extending his contract in SW6, which expires next June, and the attacking right back is settled in London and enjoying what he describes as ‘the most consistent spell of my career’ under Silva. The Cottagers are attempting to strengthen their squad in the final days of the summer transfer window – and interest in Tete is unwelcome after the departure of Aleksandar Mitrovic for Al Hilal last week.

The 27 year-old has made 80 appearances – scoring three times – since joining Fulham from Lyon for a bargain £3m in September 2020. He helped the Whites win the Championship after staying at Craven Cottage following their relegation in his first season with the club and has become one of the most consistent right backs in the country forcing his way back into the international picture.
