van der Sar ‘in intensive care after bleeding around brain’

Former Fulham goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar is in intensive care after suffering a bleed around the brain, according to reports this afternoon.

The former Dutch international, who made 154 appearances in four seasons at Craven Cottage between 2001 and 2005, is in a stable condition in hospital in Croatia.
