Tottenham are poised to make their move for Fulham centre back Tosin Adarabioyo in the next few days, according to various reports.
Foot Mercato claims that Spurs have already sounded out Adarabioyo’s agents and are confident they can snare the former Manchester City defender for a knockdown price now that he has entered the final year of his Craven Cottage contract – and told Fulham that he is not interested in signing another one. That news came as a disappointment to the Whites, who gave the 25 year-old his shot at Premier League football in 2020, and they now have to consider offers for Adarabioyo, with City due a sell-on clause from any fee.
Several reports claim that Tottenham are confident of concluding a £13m deal with the defender excited by English interest after approaches from Inter Milan and Rennes failed to translate in concrete offers. Adarabioyo, who was apparently upset at his lack of first-team football last year after losing his place in Marco Silva’s side to new signing Issa Diop, has made 107 appearances for Fulham and scored three goals. He was a key fixture in the side that stormed to the Championship title in Silva’s first season at the Cottage.
13 million seems cheap to me. I feel we should asking about 20 million. It is a shame we cannot retain him .I am not sure he will be a certain starter each week at Tottenham, so game time he maybe no better off
If he wants to go please let him.I would drive him anywhere to a new club. Slow in movement and thinking will never make a PL player Spuds can never have seen him play.
Lets hope we get good money though and get Fred and Ward -Prowse plus a couple of quality centre backs. Then we should have a good season.Im still baffled how we spent £15m on two players each who hardly played a game for Fulham.Whoever agreed those deals must be sacked as they are still on our books.
