Fulham are set to challenge AC Milan and Juventus for the signature of Valencia midfielder Yunus Musah, according to reports from Italy.

Tutto Juve reports that Marco Silva has made the American international his ‘main request’ during the summer transfer window as he seeks to reshape Fulham’s midfield after the Whites finished tenth on their return to the top flight. Whilst the Serie A sides have baulked at Valencia’s £16m asking price, Fulham have reportedly indicated that they are willing to offer the money up front in order to land the combative midfielder, who impressed during the USA’s World Cup campaign in Qatar last winter.

Other Italian reports have suggested that Musah would prefer to move to Milan, but even the Rossoneri might be outflanked by their city rivals, Champions’ League finalists Inter Milan, as they don’t currently have the 20 year-old, who has made more than a hundred senior appearances for Valenica, at the top of their shortlist to replace Sandro Tonali.
