Fulham have turned down a second offer from Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal for their striker Aleksandar Mitrovic, according to a report from the Athletic this afternoon.
The Whites rebuffed a £25.5m bid from Al-Hilal for the Serbian international on Wednesday and have rejected an improved offer – believed to be worth around £35m – for the 28 year-old. Sky Sports News are now reporting that Al-Hilal’s bid was worth less than £30m. The Cottagers’ continued position is that Mitrovic is not for sale but the Premier League side are braced for more approaches from the Public Investment Fund-backed outift.
Mitrovic, who has scored 111 goals in 204 games since moving to west London initially on loan in January 2018, is under contract at Craven Cottage until the summer of 2026.
The guy head has turned will be making 20 million a yr in saudi atabia instead of 6 million a yr now ° can you blame him !!!!!
How much money do you need? Think I could manage to struggle by on £6 million a year.
If we do reject any further offers does that mean we’ll have Mitro sulking through the next season.
If he wants to go and live in a country where women are second class citizens and gays are put in prison and where the ruler has the blood of a murdered journalist on his hands – allegedly, then good luck to him.
Well said Nick Pepper!
It’s a derisory offer for a player of Mitro’s calibre. In todays market he’s worth at least £90million, but worth even more to us.
If Mitrovic wants to leave Fulham, they are just negotiating a price. He’s been a fantastic player for Fulham, but if his heart is set on leaving, he will. Meanwhile, the club fuss about, not really knowing what they are doing. No signings, players and coach not willing to sign new contracts apart from Jedi. Happy Days are here again!!
All the stuff what we are hearing leads me to only one conclusion: Tony Khan is not an able football operator! Time to get a proper DOF Shad!
Taxi for Tony Khan how many fans would personally drive this guy to the Airportt to get him as faraway from our club as possible maybe he can go to Saudi I feel for those fans who have bought a season ticket in the Riverside Stand hoping our club will push on butMarco Silva must give this fantastic DOF an ultimatum spend on strengthening( if he already hasn’t) the team or he goes probably with Mitro we are waiting with baited breath to see what that idiot does next
