Fulham have joined the race to sign Juventus left-back Luca Pellegrini, according to reports from Italy this evening.

Sky Sports Italia are suggesting this evening that the Whites, who are seeking back up to Antonee Robinson ahead of the start of the new Premier League campaign, have agreed personal terms with the 24 year-old and the Italian international is keen to move to Craven Cottage despite interest from Lazio and Nice.

Juve are eager to get Pellegrini’s wages off the books to finance several summer signings, including that of another Fulham target in the form of Leicester’s Timothy Castagne. He is under contract for a further two years having struggled to make an impact with the Bianconeri, making just 21 first-team appearances since signing from Roma three years ago. The Rome-born full back has spent the last two seasons on loan with Eintracht Frankfurt and Lazio, whose bid to extend his loan for another season has already been rejected.

Juventus would like to sell Pellegrini to Nice for around £6m but the attacking left-back would prefer to play in the Premier League. Fulham view their long-term transfer target as an alternative to Milan defender Fode Ballo-Toure, who rejected the chance to move to London last week.
