A pair of braces from Callum McFarlane and Ollie O’Neill powered Fulham’s under-21s to a 5-3 win over Porto B in their first friendly on their pre-season tour of Portugal.

McFarlane fired clinically into the top corner after being found by Terrell Works to give the young Whites a sixteenth minute lead. Ollie O’Neill doubled Fulham’s advantage after half an hour, marking his return to under-21 action after his loan at Derry City, by converting a cross from Devan Tanton. It was 3-0 four minutes later when McFarlane side-footed in after excellent approach play from summer signing Chris Donnell and Tanton. O’Neill made it four just before the break when he shot home having been teed up by McFarlane.

Fulham did surrender that comfortable lead when Porto scored from corners twice in three minutes before heading another one just before end as they began to believe again.
