Israeli international Manor Solomon looks set to extend his stay with Fulham, snubbing interest from other Premier League sides and around Europe.

The Shakhtar Donetsk winger moved to Craven Cottage on a short-term deal until the end of the season following the FIFA ruling that allowed players from Ukrainian clubs to cancel their contracts after Russia’s invasion of Ukrainian territory. The 23 year-old made an incredible impact under Marco Silva, scoring five goals in five games after returning from a knee injury sustained the day after his debut against Liverpool. Solomon reportedly has the option of signing another season-long deal with the Whites under the regulations or moving permanently if Fulham can finalise a deal with Shakhtar, who are currently taking legal action against FIFA over the imposition of last summer’s ruling.

Solomon has other suitors, with Tottenham Hotspur keen to sign him following his successful spell in the Premier League, but any deal to take the former Maccabi Petah Tikva winger to north London would have to be approved by Ange Postecoglou, who appears set to take over at Spurs. The lively winger has also been advised by a number of figures within Israeli football, including Yossi Benayoun, to continue his development at Craven Cottage under Silva.

Fulham are increasingly confident that they will retain Solomon’s services and are ready to play hardball with any clubs seeking to sign their key players this summer as Silva looks to supplement the squad that surpassed all expectations by finishing tenth on their return to the top flight.
