Fulham are in talks with Sevilla about a possible deal for their winger Lucas Ocampos, according to the Daily Mail.
The Argentinian international is about to enter the final year of his contract with the Europa League winners and the Whites are eager to lure the 28 year-old to Craven Cottage. The 28 year-old spent the first half of last term on loan at Ajax before returning to Sevilla to help JosĂ© Luis Mendilibar’s side secure La Liga survival and clinch another Europa League title. Ocampos scored his penalty in the shoot-out in the final, which followed a 1-1 draw against Roma.
Ocampos, who previously starred as Sevilla finished fourth in the league and lifted the Europa League in his first season with Sevilla, is intrigued by possibility of playing in the Premier League. Marco Silva has identified the need for at least one more winger following Dan James’ return to Leeds United and uncertainty over whether Manor Solomon will remain with the Whites. Sevilla are thought to value Ocampos, who has made 161 appearances and scored 39 goals in four seasons at The RamĂłn Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium, at around ÂŁ20m.
