Fulham have made a £2m offer for FCV Farul Constanta full back Andrei Borza, according to reports from Romania.

The Premier League side have tracked the teenage prodigy all season and have been impressed by the seventeen year-old left back’s adventurous instincts. Borza scored three goals in 33 league appearances as Farul won their first league title in the club’s history and had attracted interests from scouts all across Europe. The prospect of moving to England and playing in the Premier League appeals to the youngster, who emerged from the Gheorge Hagi academy, and is considered to be one of the brightest prospects Romanian football has produced in recent years.

Fulham would likely slot Borza initially in their category-one academy, with Ziyad Larkeche set to leave at the end of contract tomorrow, but the club’s scouts believe Borza, who only missed out on his senior international debut over the summer due to logistical problems, could soon step up to first-team level. He fits the profile of an attacking full-back preferred by Marco Silva, which could become more relevant as American international Antonee Robinson enters the final year of his contract at Craven Cottage.
