Fulham are looking to loan Leeds United’s Brendon Aaronson, according to the Daily Mail

Marco Silva sees the American international as competition in the number ten role for Andreas Pereira, who may miss the start of the season after breaking his foot in May, and club captain Tom Cairney. The 22 year-old has a clause that allows him to leave Elland Road after the Yorkshire side were relegated and Fulham are eager to add to their American contingent.

The versatile New Jersey native can operate as a winger or attacking midfielder and only joined Leeds last May from Red Bull Salzburg for £24.7m – which made him the second most expensive American of all time. Aaronson, who helped RB win successive Austrian league doubles, made 40 appearances for Leeds last term – scoring a single goal.

He has won 32 caps for the United States, scoring seven goals, and helped the USA secure their second Nations’ League title earlier this month.
