Fulham are ready to fight for the services of Alassane Pléa, who is desperate to leave Borussia Mönchengladbach this summer, according to a report from Foot Mercato this afternoon.

The 30 year-old forward has scored 49 goals in 173 games for the Bundesliga outfit, but his frequency of goalscoring has diminished this term after being predominantly used as a winger. The positional switch has angered Plea, who wants to move on in the close season despite having another two years to run on his contract.

Pléa, valued at around £10m, is reportedly keen on returning to France with Olympique Lyonnais looking the likeliest destination for the former Nice striker. But Foot Mercato reports that a number of Premier League sides have made contact with Pléa’s agents, including West Ham United, Fulham and Crystal Palace. Marco Silva is known to be keen on supplementing his striking resources over the summer as the Whites plan for a second season in the Premier League.
