Exeter City have released a statement tonight revealing that the injury sustained by on-loan Fulham forward Jay Stansfield at Fleetwood Tonight on Saturday is ‘not as serious as originally feared’.
The 20 year-old, who was stretchered off midway through the second half of Exeter’s 2-2 draw, has had scans and medical tests at Motspur Park and is due to report to Exeter’s Cliff Hill training ground tomorrow to continue his rehabilitation. The Grecians also expressed confidence that Stansfield, who has scored six goals during his loan spell at St. James’ Park, will feature for Gary Caldwell’s side before the end of the season.
