Neeskens Kebano says pulling on the Fulham shirt again in yesterday’s win over Leeds United felt ‘so, so great’.

The Congolese winger has spent five months on the sidelines after injuring his achilles in a training session in November but has returned ahead of schedule to give Marco Silva’s side a serious boost in the closing weeks of the season.

Kebano, who received a rapturous reception from the Craven Cottage faithful, told FFCTV:

“It was so, so great. Being on the pitch after all this long time way feels so, so good. I knew what I was aiming for. I wanted to get back playing before the end of the season. I didn’t want to push it back to the end of the year. I did everything that I could to come back in the perfect start and as early as possible, but credit to the medical staff and all the people involved in rehab because they have been brilliant.

I couldn’t hope for more. I said it was a great way to mark my comeback with three points. The fans made me feel so special today, you know? Love to them. Hopefully, there will be many more moments like that. Honestly, I want to finish strong with the team and finish in the best place as possible.”
