Neeskens Kebano could feature for Fulham after five months out after Marco Silva revealed the Congolese winger was available for selection against Leeds tomorrow.

The lively winger has made swifter than expected progress in recovering from the Achilles injury he suffered at Motspur Park in November and his return could hand the Whites a useful option on the bench – with Leeds loanee Dan James, who scored in an outstanding outing as a false nine at Everton last weekend, unavailable to face his parent club.

Silva told his pre-match press conference earlier this afternoon:

“Good news on Kebano. The last weeks, he’s been working with the team, and it’s good to see him to work well, train well, and to be involved again. Probably he can be involved in the squad list for tomorrow’s match. As you know, Daniel James and Mitrovi? are going to be out, but all the others are available.”

James’ absence means Silva will need to come up with another new solution up front, with Mitrovic still suspended after his altercation with Chris Kavanagh at Old Trafford. The Portuguese coach is pondering whether to recall Carlos Vinicius or use Bobby Decordova-Reid in a more central forward role.

“Without Mitrovic, we always have our number nine reference that is Carlos Vinicius, and we have Daniel James or Bobby. They are the players that can play there. You have these two players to adapt in a slightly different role, a false nine, different profiles, playing more to attack in behind in some moments to connect in a different way.”
