Ahead of Fulham’s FA Cup quarter final at Manchester United on Sunday, it is perhaps timely that Dan has picked out Edwin van der Sar as the man whose goalkeeping performance lives long in the memory in his latest contribution to the BBC Sport ‘One big question’ series.

Asked to pick out a brilliant goalkeeping display or save, Dan has selected the big Dutchman’s still scarcely believable clean sheet at Highbury against Arsene Wenger’s Invincibles in November 2003. Arsenal hit 27 shots that afternoon in a game where Chris Coleman’s side had their backs firmly against the wall, but van der Sar’s heroics ensured Fulham hung on for a precious away point.

While it is a shame that the Whites weren’t able to be as miserly at the back on Sunday afternoon against an awesome Arsenal side, I’m sure we’d all settle for something similar for Bernd Leno at Old Trafford in the Cup to see Fulham return to Wembley.
