Fulham are among a number of clubs keen on signing the Borussia Mönchengladbach right back Joe Scally this summer, according to reports from the United States this afternoon.

The American international, who has won four senior caps for his country, has made 58 first-team appearances at Mönchengladbach since moving to Germany from New York City FC at the end of the 2020 MLS season. The 20 year-old has made 25 first-team appearances this term, scoring a single goal, and was named in Gregg Berhalter’s World Cup squad but did not play as the States reached the second round in Qatar.

Fulham are known to be looking for reinforcements at right back this summer to compete with established first-choice Kenny Tete. Marco Silva succeeded in signing experienced Portuguese full back Cedric Soares on loan from Arsenal, but it remains to be seen whether the Euro 2016 winner will move to Craven Cottage on a permanent basis. The Whites have a long history of offering Premier League football to American talent and have current USA internationals Antonee Robinson and Tim Ream as stalwarts in their first-team at present.
