Fulham full back Kevin Mbabu is poised to sign for Servette on loan until the end of the season, according to various reports this afternoon.
The Swiss international is in Geneva finalising a return to his first professional club after an underwhelming start to his Craven Cottage career. The 27 year-old right back has played just seven games for the Whites since signing for £5m from VfL Wolsburg in August, with head coach Marco Silva opting to enter the market again to bring Cedric Soares in from Arsenal on loan.
The former Newcastle defender was close to joining Monza last month, but will now head back to the Maroons to get regular first-team football. Mbabu, whose stoppage-time cross was headed home by Aleksandar Mitrovic to beat Brentford in August, could make his second debut at FC Basel on Sunday afternoon. The Swiss transfer window closes on Wednesday.
