In-form midfielder Andreas Pereira says he is delighted with his performances for Fulham this season and feels more at home at Craven Cottage with every passing day.
The Brazilian added his sixth assist of the season in the 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest last Saturday, laying on the clinching goal for Manor Solomon with a beautifully disguised pass. The former Manchester United number ten told Fulham’s official website that he was happy to end Fulham’s winless league run in such style.
“I’m very happy, it was a difficult week we had. We came back from some results we didn’t want with a win in the Cup and and three points that were massive, so very happy. I’m feeling good. Since I came to Fulham I’ve been feeling good, every day that passes I feel better here and feel more at home.”
Pereira is well aware that this weekend’s game at Brighton will be a real test for Marco Silva’s side.
“It’s going to be a difficult game, we know they’re a very difficult team, but we have to believe in ourselves. We have a very good team as well, a very good manager and we’re going to do everything to get the three points. I think it’s going to be a similar type of game (to last time we played). They like to keep the ball and we just have to find the weakness and score goals. We have to fight for the spot (in the league). They want to be up there, we want to be up there as well so we have to show we’re a better team.”
Compared with Palhinha I wasn’t over impressed with Pereira at first. However, he has become an important cog in our most successful season in years. Good to hear he is happy at the Cottage.
Andreas has taken the sting out of losing Carvalho, that’s for sure. He’s played the part quite well! Happy he’s proven all the MU doubters wrong who had incorrectly pegged him as a preseason darling only.
Infrequent commenter but I wanted to take a moment to thank you Dan for all your contributions over the years. I’ve been coming here for news on our club for the better part of a decade and a half! You’ve been a shining light all those years even in the darkest of times.
I agree with u totally Colin about Dan always worth a read-but keep of those Emma burgers Dan or you wont get through the turnstiles!
As for the Carvalho comment Andreas is streets better and sets the pace for our team.
Where is Carvalho now and was he really ever wanted at Liverpool he was just going cheap and thanks to that mug Elliot who he got in his head.
