Real Valladolid are ready to take Fulham striker Rodrigo Muniz on loan – should his stint with Middlesbrough be cut short, according to journalist Fabricio Lopes.

The Brazilian forward has fallen down the pecking order at the Riverside Stadium since Michael Carrick succeeded Chris Wilder as Boro boss and has only made sixteen appearances since moving to Teesside. Nine of those have been as a substitute and Middlesbrough’s decision to sign Cameron Archer on loan from Aston Villa last week has both the 21 year-old, who was left out of Saturday’s FA Cup humbling at the hands of Brighton and Hove Albion, and Fulham considering where Muniz might get regular football between now and the end of the season.

Several Championship clubs are interested in signing Muniz, who scored five goals in 25 appearances last term as Marco Silva’s side surged to the title, but a number of European sides have also been alerted to the striker’s apparently imminent availability. Valladolid are looking for a striker to fire them out of the La Liga relegation, with Juan Jose Roja Martin’s men having failed to score in their last three fixtures. They are ready to offer Muniz first-team football and would be an attractive proposition for the former Flamengo forward.
