Fulham full back Kenny Tete isn’t resting on his laurels despite the Whites’ wonderful Premier League form and insists there is more to come from him and Marco Silva’s squad as a whole.

The Dutch defender, who has registered four assists as well as four clean sheets in fourteen league appearances as Fulham have surged to sixth place in the table, told FFCTV that he is delighted with how the campaign has gone so far:

“I’m really happy to play in this team. We’re doing really well – already actually from the start of the season and after the break as well. We work hard. We know we’ve got qualities and, at the moment, we can show it on the pitch. I know for sure that there’s more to come. I know that I can do better things as well. I’m really happy with the assists and winning a lot of games.

The whole way it is going is so positive – and everything is going in the right way. We have to be honest as well and we can improve because we have conceded a lot of late goals.”

The 27 year-old said he is relishing the chance to play in another London derby against Tottenham on Monday night.

“London derbies are always special. That are a big team that are looking for points. I think it is going to be a nice battle between us. We are back at the Cottage, so we are always strong there. We know their qualities, they know ours. I can’t wait for Monday night.”

Tete hopes the Fulham faithful will create another magical night at Craven Cottage with the sort of strong support that roared the Whites to a famous victory over Chelsea.

“The atmosphere against Chelsea was special. I spoke also with some people on the street – and everyone was really positive. This atmosphere was special. I’ve not been here for such a long time, but it was special and I hope to feel that again. It is always nice to write history, it was a big win and it is important win. The win wasn’t only for our team but for all the people who support us always.”
