Jean Michael Seri has revealed that Marco Silva played a key part in his move to Hull City following his release by Fulham this summer.
The Ivorian international enjoyed a renaissance last season under Silva after a disappointing three years at Craven Cottage, making 34 appearances for the Whites and signing off with a goal against Luton as Fulham secured an immediate return to the top flight. The 31 year-old is looking forward to facing his old club in the FA Cup this afternoon:
“I’m sure they’ll save a lot of players who have played since the start of the season and after Boxing Day, the manager will look to refresh. I think they’ll make a lot of changes. It’s the same club, same manager, same staff, and some players. I was happy to see that we’re playing against them so I can see them and say ‘hi’ to them. I keep in touch with the players I had a connection to, the ones that I was close to. I also still speak to the manager Marco Silva.
He’s good, he said “I am excited to see you again’. I don’t know what he’s thinking about the game, or what he’s going to say about the team or the club, but before I came here he said to me that this is a family club, that it’s a good city as well.”
