Sasa Lukic seems set to join Fulham in an initial £8m deal after the Serbian midfielder told Torino that he wanted to move to London.

The 26 year-old midfielder, who has spent seven years with the Serie A club, had been made available for transfer earlier in the January window and is keen to join his international team-mate Aleksandar Mitrovic at Craven Cottage. Lukic, who has made 161 appearances and scored fourteen goals for I Granata, would an extra option in a number of midfield positions for head coach Marco Silva, who is keen to get this deal concluded as soon as possible. He can play as a defensively-minded midfielder, a box-to-box operator or as an attacking playmaker.

Lukic, who has won 35 senior caps for his country, featured in all of Serbia’s matches at the World Cup in Qatar this winter. Reports from Italy suggest that Fulham have already agreed personal terms with the player over a four-year contract.
