Marco Silva believes Layvin Kurzawa can give Fulham a different dimension after the French full back’s first goal for the Whites set them on the way to an FA Cup win at Hull City yesterday.

Kurzawa marked his first appearance in the competition with a poacher’s finish to give Fulham the lead at the MKM Stadium after Matt Ingram had parried a shot from Harry Wilson. The left back was making just his second start for the Londoners, having joined on loan from Paris Saint Germain in September, and Silva believes that the French international is now starting to show what he can do after an injury-hit start to his Craven Cottage career.

The Fulham head coach said:

“On the ball he’s a top, top player. Where he’s played before in his career speaks for itself. The last two seasons have been difficult for him but he’s a very good player. He has quality on the ball and he always gives us different things in attack. We didn’t want to take risks with him, he’s building his fitness as well and we need him in the best physical condition as we can.”
